Northwestaustralian labradooes About Us My name is Jackie, I am married and have 3 young children. We are located in Central Scotland near Loch Lomond, 18 miles west of Glasgow and 40 miles from Edinburgh. My family and I are animal mad !! We currently live with our dogs, Rabbit, 2 Guinea pig's, cat and 3 pony's. I originally bred Labradors and had my first litter whilst still living at home with my parents. I have been fortunate to never have been with out a canine companion. I love Labradors but found it very difficult having young children and dogs that shed so much, in 2002 I had my first litter of Origin Labradoodles’s. Many Origin Labradoodles cast hair just like a Labrador so In 2006 we imported William and began to breed true Australian Labradoodles. People who have one will tell you……….thy are addictive!! So after William came, Angus, Ruby, Sica, Showi, Flirt, Summer, Bindi...................... As Breeders we wanted to offer our new adoptive homes a puppy that we knew would live up to the standards the public is reading and hearing about. The Australian labradoodle has received a lot of media attention and rightfully so. Australian labradoodles are a fairly new breed, the dogs being used as Dams and Sires are health tested for genetic soundness. The health and temperament of the dogs is at the forefront with Australian Labradoodle breeders. I’m sure as many of you have, I spent hours looking at photos of beautiful shaggy coated labradoodles and I wanted to be able to breed puppies that would be similar in type and temperament  William was the first Australian labradoodle we imported and the first ever Australian Labradoodle in Scotland, William came from Northwest Australian Labradoodles. I would like to thank Katie and Dennis Gift for all their help, guidance and support and for breeding the most beautiful Australian Labradoodles. The Australian Labradoodle is an infusion of 6 parent breeds. In addition to the Labrador and poodle, the following breeds used in the development of the Labradoodle are approved as parent breeds in Australia: the Irish water Spaniel, American Cocker Spaniel and the English Cocker Spaniel. The Labradoodle Association of Australia Inc. was formed by breeders who wished to guard this developing breed and create a common goal: "An all-around great dog that is non-shedding and allergy friendly." This statement comes from the Labradoodle Association's web site. The Labradoodle Association of Australia also has a standard to which breeders strive to aspire. We are proud to be Founder member breeders of the ALAEU (EU-BR7), ILA and the ALAA
